Airdrop Files Anywhere to Anything

Most of you have used Airdrop by now or seen it or you are at least aware it exists and how convenient it is. The major drawback with Airdrop is that it is limited to Apple devices.

What if I were to tell you that there was a way to have it, or something incredibly similar on any device, irrespective of platform? This is where LocalSend comes in.

I discovered LocalSend a few days ago when trying to find a way to send some files between my Mac and a Linux computer, I had forgotten to bring a USB disk with me and thought I was stuck until I came across this app.

First of all, it’s completely free, secondly, all you need to do, is download it onto your devices, launch it, choose who is sending and who is receiving and you’re done.

So far it has been working for me solidly, zero config, zero issues. I hope it helps you out too.
