Xbox Summer Sale 2024

Or as Microsoft likes to call it, the Ultimate Game Sale. Whatever you want to call it, there is a chance to get some really good deals on games, for example I picked up Robocop (wonderful movie, the first one anyway), Sniper Contracts 1 and 2, Sniper Elite 4 and 5, Hotwheels Unleashed 2 (my daughter and I enjoy racing each other) and more.

This is one of the sales that I look forward to the most every year as I do most of my gaming on the Xbox as I don’t own (and can’t afford) a decent gaming PC. Plus I am a big fan of being able to come home from work and just play something.

Now that being said, I’m actually going to contradict myself here and also show my age but back when I started gaming, the Commodore Vic 20 (and C64) were the hot gaming machines on the market (not forgetting of course Atari) and in those days, with the capabilities that the machines of that era had, you had to focus on the gameplay as you weren’t able to hide behind graphics. That still didn’t stop people from making bad games though but the single biggest advantage was that you didn’t need the internet to play. I wish games were still like that today, as every time we have an internet outage (which unfortunately happens more often than you would think in this neck of the woods), we’re pretty much dead in the water. At least we have The A500 mini :)
